On one of the shortest summer nights, ahead of the Midsummer (Rasos) festival, I received three separate invitations to perform at different events.
It was not a matter of choice, but the reality of limited availability — it is physically impossible to be everywhere at once, and finding dependable colleagues on short notice proved difficult.

At that moment, a simple yet vital challenge became evident: folk performers and event organizers in Lithuania and across the Baltic region are constantly searching for one another, yet the process remains fragmented, reliant on personal word-of-mouth and chance. There was no single, transparent space connecting demand with authentic performers.

The “FolkHub” platform was born directly from this experience.

It is a dedicated platform designed to connect authentic folklore ensembles, folk dancers, musicians, and ritual hosts with event organizers — from cultural centres and festivals to corporate events and private celebrations.

FolkHub’s mission is not only to simplify booking and discovery, but also to strengthen our cultural community, increase artists’ visibility, and help living traditions reach the widest possible audience.

Because traditions stay alive only as long as they are shared.
